An 50k offer for the Citi AA Platinum card without 24-month language has surfaced on reddit. This means if you have had a Citi American Airlines credit card in the past 24 months, you should still be eligible for the bonus if approved using this link. The offer is the familiar 50,000 miles after $3,000 eligible spend in first 90 days.
DON’T CALL CITI TO CONFIRM THE OFFER OR BONUS.

I read about this first on Doctor of Credit which sifts through reddit so we don’t have to. Note that the link at the top of the reddit thread is the base offer with 24-month language, don’t use that. Again, use this link to apply.
DON’T CALL CITI TO CONFIRM THE OFFER OR BONUS.
Well, with reddit and big blogs already publishing it, the deal’s longevity is likely sealed. Who knows, maybe this is an intentional plant by Citi to direct attention away from the re-launch of applications for the rival Barclaycard American Airlines Aviator card. The link has lasted nearly 24 hours so far.
I tossed up an application just now. I have not gotten an instant approval from Citi in several years. This, too, required to me call in, then either accept a $1,500 credit line or move around credit from existing accounts. I did that, and as with some other applications this year, was told a senior underwriter must sign off and it is past business hours for them. Prior time like this I was approved for an AA Executive card 2 business days later.
This timing is nice since you will be able to get your annual 10% award rebate (capped at 10,000-mile rebate) in 2017 and should be again in 2018 before you have to pay the annual fee again.
Good luck!

[…] Rapid Travel Chai, there’s a Citi American Airlines Platinum Select application floating around Reddit. And […]
Immediately denied. Have both personal and business version of this card and score of 745.
I had one of those immediate denials on the Hilton a few months back when I already have the card as well.
Do you know how far you have to space out Citi applications? It used to be 8 days but I thought I read it’s been changed to 60 days?
I believe it is no more that 2 cards of any kind (meaning personal and business) in 60 days, though you could still do one on day 1, one on day 8. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/citi-thankyou-rewards/1784306-citi-aa-plat-gold-bus-cards-august-2016-1-personal-1-business-bonus-24-months.html
