The American Express Platinum personal card has 100k offer for $3,000 minimum spend with a direct working link here (it was first posted on Reddit and subsequently reposted on many outlets. No telling how long it will last. Must not have had the regular Platinum personal card before.
Amex Platinum 100k offers periodically appear so that they should be like airfare mistake fares that you mentally prepare your plan in advance for when they appear.
My wife has been wanting a Platinum card for Amex Centurion Lounge access so we had pre-decided to jump on any 100k offer. This is important because otherwise I can only raise such items at our biweekly Practical Discussion. The resit of the time she does not her mind clouded with such mental drags.
Our app, and others I have seen reported, is giving an error after the authorized user step, “Currently, our systems are not responding. Please try again later or contact us to apply by phone.
Call Us: 1-800-223-2670. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to serving you.” That should not disrupt processing and you should see a confirmation email immediately after. Update: on the add authorized user screen click ‘Continue’ rather than ‘Skip this Step’ to avoid this error.

@john – Grant at Travel With Grant pointed out to me that US Bank is not showing among the public list of Olympic sponsors this time so is not optimistic. I closed my prior FlexPerks just in case. Interestingly, when I had that (and 2 Club Carlson, 1 personal, 1 business open) I could not get any US Bank approvals for two years. Once closed I got Korean Air personal and business both approved.
Thanks! Yours is the only blog I read so this is much appreciated. I gave up on all the other blogs that post the same crap every day. I would appreciate if you also posted other offers like this (olympics flexperk….)

@Rich – should be fine, if there was an issue they would deny you, if you are approved you will get the bonus if not had this regular one before.
