Rapid Travel Chai

With my flight departing at 13:50 I was at the gate of the Musée du Panthéon National at 12:00 to catch a glimpse of the anchor of Columbus’ flagship, the Santa Maria.

The roads were blocked and a crowd forming, I thought perhaps in protest.

Then I heard the rev of engines and got my camera out as fast as I could to catch the start of a street race.

At this moment I realized I was standing way too close.

And then the dash for the airport, I wish one of these hotshots had given me a lift!
