Two familiar offers rolled in to my inbox on top of each other yesterday:
Miles to switch energy provider. No. See comments here and also here.
Citi Checking American Airlines and ThankYou. Too much hassle. If you want here are the details of the offers and here is the Step-By-Step Guide to Citigold (both from Doctor of Credit).

I got the 50k AA deal in my email this morning and skipped it in the past. I’m thinking about going for it. Didn’t seem like it would be too much of a hassle and I have time on my side. How much does one typically fund this account for? I’ll probably use my Barclay card.
I did the IHG mail in and have yet to see any response. I hope to get at least 50% to 75% return on that!
I don’t know. I did the CitiGold last year, and it was an easy way to earn a bunch of miles. It took about 3 months for the miles to credit. Well worth it in my opinion. Plus, I saved $100 off my Prestige card AF.
Sending out 90 post cards for IHG points….now that is more hassle to me than it’s worth.
@Bill S – something seems fun to me about IHG in a silly way, though I haven’t started the work yet.
“Too much hassle” is exactly right for the Citi checking miles. I just got done dealing with them- it was about a 6 month process to get the miles. Totally NOT worth it!
