Check out our Top Rewards Cards to boost your points earning and travel more!

Yesterday’s post covered the tremendous Broadway Week and Restaurant Week deals running in New York. The Rapid Traveler did not do full research because today he sees there are even more deals to be had.

American Express has a shopping bonus to go along with the restaurant bonus. Mix-n-Match runs February 1-29, granting a $50 statement credit for purchases cumulatively totaling $200 or more at two participating merchants. Terms are similar to the restaurant credit:

To be eligible for this offer, you must register any eligible American Express Card at amexnetwork.com/getmore between January 18, 2012, and February 29, 2012. Registration is limited to the first 10,000 enrollees. You may register only one Card for this offer. Using the same registered Card for each transaction, you must make purchase(s) in store at over 300 participating merchants between February 1, 2012, and February 29, 2012. Offer not valid on online purchases, except for purchases at ticketmaster.com or telecharge.com. Using the same registered Card for each transaction, you must transact at least two times and spend a combined $200 at participating merchants that accept American Express Cards. Prepaid and corporate cards and ExpressPay transactions are not eligible. Statement credits are generally issued within five business days after your qualifying purchase(s), but may take up to two billing cycles to post to your account. Limit one statement credit per Cardmember. If your Card is replaced during the promotional period, please call the customer service number on the back of your Card for assistance. Additional terms apply. See registration site for details.

Since it is limited to 10,000 enrollees, please register only if you will make use of it.

Many of the Broadway shows and restaurants in the ‘week’ promotions also qualify for Mix-n-Match.

The list is not entirely frivolous, either. Costco is on the list and since each location is separately listed, trips to different Costco’s should quality. Upper West Side staple Zabar’s is there, too.

There is also a Where to Stay promotion for hotels with a variety of offers, many requiring stays of two nights or more. Compare deals to what is available through the regular channels.
