FTU MSP Social Activities
FTU attendees are asking for more social activities and networking opportunities. Here they are:
Friday, June 9: NWA History Centre Q&A
Update: this event has been moved to the FTU host hotel Minneapolis Airport Marriott. Meet at the FTU registration desk at 3 pm and we’ll wing it.
The NWA History Centre is preparing to open at a new location in the Crowne Plaza MSP.
Meet the museum director and NWA retirees for an information Q&A session at the Crowne Plaza hotel’s Concorde Room. Unfortunately, we will not be able to preview the collection as the fire marshall has not yet signed off.
Attendance is free.
I will lead a group from the host hotel at 3 pm or you can go straight to the Crowne Plaza to start about 3:15.
Click here for more information or to RSVP.
Saturday, June 10: Saturday Social at Pizza Lucé, Richfield
After FTU closes for the day, continue the socializing at Pizza Lucé Richfield, a short ride from the host hotel.
Weather permitting we will be on the patio, otherwise we’ll be at the bar.
See you there from about 7 pm.
Stefan’s father, Philip, adds, “Pizza Luce Richfield showcases local and regional beers. To mention a few beers on tap: Surly Brewing Company, Minneapolis: Furious (an IPA) and Hell (German Style Munich Helles Lager): Bauhaus Brew Labs, Minneapolis: Wonderstuff (Neu Bohemian Pilsner); Bent Paddle Brewery of Duluth, Minnesota (Bent Golden IPA and Bent Black Ale) and Indeed Brewing Company, Minneapolis (DayTripper Pale Ale).”
Note that you are on your own for transport and costs for the optional event. Please drink responsibly.
Sunday, June 11: Don’t Let FTU End Happy Hour at Kincaid’s, Bloomington
Great value happy hour at lakeside Kincaid’s Bloomington. Just 15 minutes from MSP Airport, join us before your flight out.
We’ll be there from about 6 pm.
Stefan’s mother, Marilyn’s pick is the char-grilled cheeseburger, a happy hour deal for $7.95.
Note that you are on your own for transport and costs for the optional event. Please drink responsibly.
