The Rapid Traveler grudgingly departed Minnesota early this morning after a wonderful weekend with Parents of Rapid Traveler. The 5:25 am departure was so early that no crowds had yet massed, but Father of Rapid Traveler still followed his trusty drop-off/pick-up method: go to arrivals early in the morning and departures late at night.
The typical two-level airport has departures above and arrivals below, usually linked by an escalator. Rather than fight the morning crowds at the departure level, instead roll over to arrivals and head upstairs. And reverse in the evening. Simple and effective.
