Those watching for declines in Amex Centurion Lounges have encountered an ominous sign this summer: Twinings has replaced Mighty Leaf in the tea box.
Is this an unfortunate outlier or the canary we should heed? If they further plumb the depths with a move to Dilmah, it’s time to bail.
(Note: yes, for those who take things more seriously than I, this post is tongue-in-cheek, but it is too bad to lose good tea for this.)

I’m more concerned about the lack of food variety at any given lounge. It’s the same stuff, day after day and month after month.
@Explore – LGA did just bring out new food, bland beef brisket in garlic sauce, nice roast broccoli, tasty creamed corn, and kept the purĂ©e peas and rice. The fried chicken was getting tired.
My first experience with Mighty Leaf was in the lounge in DFW, and let’s say it changed my tea drinking habits for good.
This for me, is actuslly a sad sad day. Bring back the Mighty Leafs!
This is the straw.
