Marriott Lifetime Status Years Count Has Updated

Last week we heard people that earned lifetime Marriott Premier Platinum (to be Titanium) status saw their status officially updated.

Regular lifetime years did not update then. Today I see my lifetime years as Platinum moved from 7 to 8.

That I had been at 7 was a surprise to me, prompting me to pursue Lifetime Platinum by reaching 10 years, then waiting as credit card nights add 15 nights a year to get me to 600 nights.

I used two 7-night travel packages in January and a credit card cert earned last year to get me to 15 nights. Credit card will get me to 30. Hopefully a meeting will get me to 40. Two credit card certs this year to 42. 8 nights earned the hard way to reach 50, and then get my 9th year. My main hurdle is when an airport Spring Hill Suites costs $100 and a Days Inn costs $50, I don’t really want to pay an $50 just for an elite night.Marriott Lifetime statsTo check your Marriott lifetime stats, go to the Account Overview page, scroll down to the section just above Activity, and click View Details. Cheers, thank you for your reply! Do you know if there is any literature that the account statuses are finalized? I was under assumption that i needed 1 or 2 years of platinum. I was not sure if they were counting my platinum with Marriott for a few years. My stats are 537 nights and 11 year platinum. Under SPG that would qualify me for LTP. The only conclusion I can come to is they counted my Marriott years and ganfathered my account for SPG LTP requirements. What are you thoughts?

Mine is still wrong.

I’m on my third round of slow-motion BS support e-mails from Marriott.

I’m focused on leaving the chain and burning off with points with no future paid stays as a result. I have already re-booked an upcoming stay that was Marriott with Hilton.
