Is this a lucrative business that has to comes so frequently?

For several years has been 1 big event and 2-3 smaller events, this year we have 1 really big event and 2 smaller events. Not a lucrative business. It is incredibly expensive to have events with meetings rooms and catering. We speakers volunteer our time and only get help with some expenses.

FTU Signature looks great. The registration site wasn’t clear yet on when it started Friday (morning or evening). Also is it going on the same time Saturday as the larger event, overlapping, then finishing Sunday? Any additional insights great – tentatively have a hotel room. Thanks!

We might have a casual Fri afternoon gathering around 3 pm for early arrivals. It will finish Sunday at 5 pm. FTU Signature has seminars all day Saturday and Sunday exclusive to Signature. That means on Saturday both programs will be running. An example is over at Expo, Kevin Song will do a beginner’s AAdvtange talk, while at Singature he will do an Advanced AAdvantage talk. Signature attendees are free to attend any Expo talks they… Read more »

Seems like you guys are pulling your talent away from the Chicago Seminars in October. What’s the deal? Why an FTU event a month later from the original Chicago Seminars?????
Also – not fond of the Nov 18th date since most of us will be either visiting family or travelling for the Thanksgiving week.

Many from Chicago Seminars are speaking at Expo, too, including Chicago Seminars organizer Howie, and myself as well. Go down the list of speakers for both and you see overlap with fellow travelers that love to teach. Expo will appeal to general audience travelers willing to give it a try for a day and a $29 ticket. Those are people that may not be willing to commit a full weekend and ticket price for a Chicago Seminars or FTU Signature. Of the many cities we have held FTU events, Chicago is among the most popular for traveling attendees because of… Read more »
