With my travel down to nearly zero the past 1.5 years I have taken up some of the points-generation activities now popular among points earners.
August 2021 has several US Mint coin releases of interest to coin dealers, which means a buying group opportunity for credit card spend and commission.
Please see my post on the July 29 coin deal for background on coin deals and buying groups.
August 3, 2021 US Mint Coin Deal Pre-Order Goes Live at 12 pm EDT
Pre-orders for two coins will go on sale August 3, 2021.
The coins will ship in October 2021. Your card will not be charged until shipping time so either use a card you know you want to put on spend then, or use PayPal Key to have the flexibility to change the backing card later. Just be sure to not delete that PayPal Key in the interim.
DCB Buying Group
The buying group I have made reservations with, DCB, has encouraged me to share their info for other prospective sellers to consider. This is my seventh coin deal with DCB this year, along with various gift card deals. My experience has been excellent. Communication is clear and responsive. Terms honored to the letter.
If you sell to DCB, I will receive a one-time refer-a-friend bonus. I am not party to your transaction with DCB. You are solely responsible for your own assessment to potentially buy any of the coins, and to whom to sell any coins you buy.
Contact DCB at coins.fordcb@gmail.com to learn more, reserve your coins, obtain instructions, and join the WhatsApp group for the buying group.
DCB is offering the following payout over US Mint price, along with coin links:
- Morgan 2021 Silver Dollar with (D) Mint Mark(21XG) for $85, household limit 3 – $125 over US Mint price per set of 3
- Morgan 2021 Silver Dollar with (S) Mint Mark(21XF) for $85, household limit 3 – $125 over US Mint price per set of 3
If you get 3 of each coin that is $510 spend with $250 commission.
When your orders are confirmed by the US Mint, DCB will provide insured, pre-paid shipping labels for you to use to send to the buyer. You’ll need to ship the coins within 7 days after receiving the coins from the Mint. You’ll want a dropoff receipt when you ship. Payment will be done via ACH within 3 business days after the buyer receives the coins.
Important: DO NOT OPEN boxes you receive. Every buying group requires you to receive the package, add the shipping label and send to them, box unopened.

I used one of my MasterCard to create PayPal key to pay for the mint order but later found I need to meet a minimum spending on one Visa card. How do I change it in PayPal key payment?
@Larry – in your PayPal account you can go to manage PayPal Key and switch the card. You can switch to any linked card except Amex cards. Make sure to turn off the feature to use PayPal balance first.
I used my Fidelity Visa before I learned that I shouldn’t have. Would it work if I added a different card to my account and deleted Fidelity since it won’t be shipped and charged until October?
@Clarie – I am not sure on this question. When there are enrollments, you get an email to verify/update your card info. Today’s coins are pre-order, not enrollment, so I think they will try to charge the original card from the order, even if you have deleted it. I don’t think deleting it will cause the order to cancel, though that is a risk. Instead of deleting it, I would add a new card and select it to use for all enrollments and hope that might work. I am in a related situation, I took an upgrade on a card… Read more »
Your article says DCB will buy the coins at $30 over the Mint price. Earn a $250 commission!
If you buy all six coins and earn $30 each, that $180,, not $250
@rjb – when the payout increased I updated the post and overlooked that. I have corrected it. $250 is the number per the updated payout.
I’ve worked with DCB for a few months now. Great communication and on-time payments. Highly recommended. Good commissions, too.
Would definitely vouch for DCB, numerous transactions with him both with coins and other things he does. Never a hiccup, payments are as promised and on time.
I’m somewhat new to DCB, having perhaps 4 transactions with him. I’ve found him to be incredibly clear with his communications to his buying group (this is so helpful!), kind to chat with, and his reliability is noteworthy. Even when I’ve screwed things up he has been “a mensch” and taken care of me. His rates also seem to be top tier. I’m not part of many buying groups, but I have a number of friends that are. A recent comparison of um, *many* groups, found his price to be tied for best.
I have had great experiences with DCB for the last 4-5 coin deals. He is very communicative, responsive, and makes the process simple and straightforward from start to finish! Highly recommend.
I’ve done many deals with DCB. Excellent service, and I’ve never had any problems getting paid on time.
I have been doing transactions with DCB for coins and gift cards and never had any issues and they are very helpful and responsive.
I’d love to work with DCB. I sold last week’s deal to PFS since I didn’t hear back from DCB. Even an autoresponse would be nice.
He got in touch with me as soon as he saw this comment. Apparently my prior email went to spam. Please feel free to delete this. Thanks!
Glad you posted this, that you connected, and as per usual, he responded with a plausible explanation. Keep the post up — as it’s a worthy reminder for all of us — that sometimes a “no reply” with someone new may simply mean the other party didn’t see the inquiry. As for dcb , in general, I share the good vibes and experience…. Yet given the nature of the realm, when unsure of anything, be sure to ask direct.
He’s incredibly fast on WhatsApp. I think original post mentioned email him and then get going with the WhatsApp chat group. Email anyone can miss (although sounds like went to junk anyways) but in working with him a year+, don’t think he’s let a message go unread more than an hour. Usually within minutes ultimately. Also just friendly to talk to in general.
Yep, he was very quick on the draw and found six other sales he’d lost due to emails going to spam. Glad to be part of the group now.
Buying for DCB for a long time. Very good communication and payment on time every time.
New poster but long time reader – A quick plug – I’ve used DCB for the last 5-10+ coin deals and everything has been flawless. Seems to have the best prices, shipping, etc.
DCB makes it easy!
