On my mind: picked up my last Hertz rental for the United promo offer. It’s been a great run, I earned about a half million miles from it, some earned multiples of that. We’ve waited for an email extending the offer. None has arrived.

does that mean you have been more than 100 times to Hertz since this promotion?
Around that, my neighborhood one is a 10 minute walk though don’t earn the united.com 1,500 booking bonus for airports, we don’t own a car so in addition to all the rentals on my travels, most weekends we rent at least one day. The hassle is checking cars in and out each day. The people who scaled it just to buy points for cars they don’t need would book many cars in a day and never move them. A TPG article with one of them showing off I hope was not the reason the promo seems to have ended.
As one who always has to renew passports early, I’m all for countries not stamping. I don’t think it’s the stamp itself that matters in travel, except perhaps to ardent hobbyists or the person on his or her first international trip.
I have mixed feelings on it, I am glad Global Entry helps me avoid US stamps because CBP waste more new pages and areas with sloppy stamping than any country, while others the tangible mark of getting that stamp, like Tristan da Cunha, are a memory I can look back on and enjoy for many years.
huzzah, three days in a row! Glad to see you back.
Also — got my new Hertz offer, only 2k per! 🙁
Jealous you got that!
