Maybe it can be pushed back to the 15th? I am landing in Hong kong on the 14th at 7 pm…
@Omer – maybe you can join us for last call, just hop on the A21 bus and you’ll be dropped almost at the door. I’ll be there for a week and another friend is coming in the following day so maybe a mini something then.
Actually just kidding, it’s the right time but the wrong day 🙁
I am so tempted! I have a layover at HKG from 5:30 PM to 11:30 PM. If my flight is on time and I’m not totally dead tired I’ll try to make my way out there!
Cool. We’re in! My wife and I fly in from YYZ on the 12th on route to BKK on the 16th. Been there a few times and we’re just trying to decide where to stay this time. This may push us to stay in town. Two questions. 1)Macau with staying a few days for outdoor active non gamblers? 2)Did you ever stay in that Crowne Plaza you mentioned in another post, and did they offer lounge access for Plat Elites?
@Rob – I am a fan of Macau and we’ll likely go there for a day during our trip. The old streets of the center are fun to walk, the pawn shops, or around the reservoir by the ferry terminal, or other end by A-Ma Temple. I’ve not yet stayed at that Crowne Plaza. The new bridge makes busing it between HK and Macau a breeze so we look forward to trying it.
Happy New Year, Stefan! I don’t know how you get from the airport in HKG to the city, but I have used Klook to purchase airport express tickets at a decent discount, between $5 USD (ow) and $8 USD r/t and the transaction worked out fine. It was also nice to have the tickets on my phone before we left home so that we didn’t have to stop and buy tickets at the airport. Klook also gives you a little bit back to use on your next purchase (about $1). The purchase coded as travel using Citi Premier.
@Pauline – thank you for the tip, Klook is new to me. Usually we stay in TST and take the A21 bus, this time we are on HK Island so may take the Airport Express.
