On my mind: the best movies of 2018, so far. Thanks to MoviePass, I’ve seen a number of these. A Quiet Place will stick with me the longest. Black Panther the most significant.

I don’t know you are a movie buff as well! I heard so much about Movie Pass.. What is your take? Is it worthwhile? I love actor John Krasinski but hate his wife. But probably would watch a Quiet Place bc he is director! Is it very scary?
@Shannon – while in high school I spent many weeknights after I’d finished my homework at the Oak Street Cinema on the University of Minnesota campus. A serious film education. A Quiet Place is very tense rather than scary, those long anxious moments when they telegraph what is going to happen and pressure builds as it approaches. They come across as a real, committed family in the film.
@Shannon – on MoviePass, I got it when Costco had the annual deal. I love it. Now I don’t weigh between a morning chepaer matinee or an AMC $5 Tuesday. I got when I want and feel ok seeing more. However long they last or this model last, I’ll keep riding it.
