InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort is a go. Just don’t be in rush: opening is expected in 3 to 5 years.

Maamunagau island is in North Maalhosmadulu Atoll, a seaplane ride from Male. The hotel will have 83 rooms.

Until then, IHG has Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives.

I just wish it does not end up like the two Radisson properties in the Maldives that never opened but always seem to be ‘just about to open’.
