David, I am so bad at my blogging backlog, if you’re planning a trip, please contact me with any questions that I can answer. Most nationalities need to work with a local agent to get visa approval (visa on arrival) and permits for places around the country, so it is a not a budget destination. It is a fantastic place, you get pyramids to yourself and hospitable people. Outside Khartoum, facilities are basic.
