Air New Zealand trans-Pacific business class awards are the phoenix of flight, so rare we question their existence.

New Zealanders have roughly half the year dedicated to rolling school holidays and their winter holiday in July is seeing Air New Zealand release a business class awards for Auckland – Los Angeles on a most dates in July and a few in August. Some dates for Los Angeles – Auckland. Maybe the new American Airlines route there is getting Air New Zealand to open the purse strings.

Not seeing much in business for the Los Angeles – London leg operated by Air New Zealand.

San Francisco and Houston are the other US routes and have much less.

Using United or Air Canada Aeroplan miles this is 80,000 miles one-way. Other Star Alliance programs may have better or worse rates.
