Fairmont President’s Club gets rolled into Le Club AccorHotels on July 2, 2018. Fairmont distinguished itself with upgrade and free night certificates. Accor has €40 vouchers. To reassure Fairmont members, they sent a marketing fail mailer highlighting their status levels.
The 4 new and refreshed Amex Hilton cards came out in January with the end of the Citi Hilton cards. Initially I paid little attention to these cards. Discussions with several readers has me doing a reassessment. I may add 2 of these cards to my portfolio.
Chase and IHG are trying to repair the damage from their April announcement capping the Chase IHG credit card’s anniversary night certificate. All cardholders will no be granted one more uncapped certificate to May 1, 2019.
