Finally a loyalty program update without the word ‘enhancement.’ In fact, no change at all!
Accor has just updated Fairmont President’s Club members that there will be no changes to the program for 2017.
We’re pleased to announce that your Fairmont President’s Club experience will remain unchanged throughout the next program year, and you’ll continue to enjoy all the same exclusive benefits, rewards and privileges in 2017.
Whatever the reasons may be, it is nice to see a travel company not in a headlong rush to devalue its loyalty program.
As with other hotel chains, if you use online travel agents (OTAs) like Expedia you will not get your member benefits. Direct bookings, corporate bookings, and booking through channels such as Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts, which often has great Fairmont offers, continue to receive member benefits.
Though not mentioned, I see no reason to think the Chase Fairmont credit card will have any change in 2017.

I was SO happy to see this in my inbox yesterday. I love, love, love the Fairmont President’s Club program and already have 2 free nights thanks for spending $12K on each of our two Chase Fairmont cards (me & husband), so I was dreading what was going to happen. We’d like to visit the Fairmont in Jasper next year. Have you been? We loved the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui and since we live in L.A. we used our restaurant certificates at Fig restaurant, in the Fairmont Miramar (Santa Monica, CA). We loved it and will be going back!… Read more »
We stayed at Jasper last Christmas, it being converted to year-round a few years prior. Excellent place. Look at Amex FHR offers.
