I am skeptical of the data used in the comparison of airbnb rates versus hotel room prices. I lot can be hidden in the choice of the pricing data and quality that is being compared. (lies, damn lies, and statistics)
And there are some countries where I would happily pay more for a hotel over an AirBnb (e.g., in Asia), just to have some semblance of “standardization”.
