Reports are coming in the early hours Monday that Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt have severed diplomatic and ties with Qatar on accusations of supporting ‘extremism and terrorism,’ demanding that Qatari diplomats and nationals leave their countries on short notice.  Here is the Arabic announcement from the Saudi Press Agency, they have not yet released it in English.

Transit ties are reportedly being cut though verified details are scarce at time of writing. Other countries may take similar actions.

If you have any regional travel through Qatar planned, glue yourself to news and expect the story to be confusing for some time. The major airlines do not appear to have released any statements.
