My wife told me of her prior Delta flight where she was behind a serious businessman in suit in line at the Sky Club bar. He was handed a banana.
She then saw that while apples and oranges are available for all to grab, bananas now are behind the bar, available upon request.
Yesterday in LGA Terminal D Sky Club we saw the same.
Readers, why is Delta hoarding bananas? Do they get too bruised when set out like the apples? Some other reason?

[…] Apparently Delta is hoarding bananas. […]
Bananas are way more popular and easier to eat than apples and oranges. They are in high demand. most likely Delta is trying to control costs. They are the number one seller at Walmart for example. Delta also has come up with some weak story to justify this to customers.
Perhaps this is the reason, Stefan?

Delta’s stinginess is hitting a new low
Someone next to me at the bar asked a few weeks ago. It’s to prevent fruit flies.
Perhaps the Banana Bandit is on the loose again?
