For the first time in my memory, the Crowne Plaza Vilnius is not in the IHG PointBreaks list.

The list for July 31-October 31, 2017 should be going live for booking any moment now, around 12 pm EDT on July 31, 2017 at this link (hotels sometimes go live for booking ahead of the list update, until then, you still see the prior quarter’s remainders).

This list is one of the smallest with only 107 participating hotels. For instance, nothing this time in China, when previously there were usually several.

You have to stretch far to find destination hotels. Points with a Crew has a few picks including a gateway to Patagonia along with their updated map and sortable list.

Nothing has caught my eye or lines up with planned travel, so I am giving this a pass.

I am not optimistic on PointBreaks. That Crowne Plaza Vilnius disappearance may herald the tipping point. If the other bellweather, the Crowne Plaza Johannesburg – The Rosebank, is not around next time, then there is a real issue getting hotels to participate and I would expect IHG to raise the price.
