United has an odd habit of launching promotions without notice, then a few weeks later sending emails ‘Don’t forget to register…’ These offers always exclude tickets purchased before registration, even if not yet flown.

The New Spirit of United in New York Newark

Here’s one that started back on March 16 and runs through June 25: The New Spirit of United in New York. Spirit of Newark doesn’t have the same ring.

I chose miles though will reach neither.

Maximizing United MileagePlus Miles in 2017

United Mileage Plus changed a lot last fall. Some flexibility was lost, while new opportunities emerged with the Excursionist award.
