Seoul-Bound, My Wife Wants Me to Recommend Spas, Help!

Check out our Top Rewards Cards to boost your points earning and travel more!

Spas and bath houses are a delight of East Asia. From zen retreats to family amusement centers, the spectrum is wide.

We are Seoul-bound and I do not know the spas. KNTO has a massive list that is just a start.

Readers, what Seoul spas do you recommend? I am thinking one zen, feminine retreat where I will stand outside tapping my foot, and one over-the-top fun for the whole family spa.

The W Hotel has a sweet outside long hot tub that overlooks the west side of Seoul. It’s an odd feeling standing a hundred meters or so above the Han river with nothing on. Best to go at night and you might have to stay at the W to enter the Spa.

Landside. Be reminded to ask for fast track if you fly in premium cabin as the crew won’t offer proactively. And show bring her to the only duty free LV store at ICN near Korean air First class lounge. Give her your favor cridit card to make sure the max cash or points return 🙂

Try Spa on the Air at Incheon airport first…if you or her like it..then go to real Jimjilbang

@Rapid Travel Chai – some of the Jimjilbangs are really nice, so if your wife is comfortable with a quick shower in the public bath, I think it would be fun to try! Jimjilbang is usually consisted with a Public bath, which is divided by gender, and the Jimjilbang itself, which is open to everybody since everybody wears comfortable clothing and mingle around with everybody, which is a good way to experience Korean culture.

As a local’s point of view I would personally recommend Spa the Han or the Cheongkwanjang Spa G. They are both contemporary and traditional Korean. Be aware of the Jimjilbang spas on the list, since they are usually public baths+saunas and may seem a bit… ‘exotic’
Have fun at Seoul!
