IHG Into the Nights: IHG Responds, and the Bonus Offers

IHG Into the Nights Certs

IHG Into the Nights is the super generous promo that just can’t get its act together. The latest issue is that the promo website has stopped updating altogether.

Readers suggested I write IHG at ihgrewardsclub.crt@ihg.com to get my final points and certificates awarded. I did just that last Thursday, laying out task by task the hotel and dates where I qualified for each task, and which bonuses had not been award.

On Sunday I got a shockingly helpful (for IHG) reply:

Warm greetings from IHG Rewards Club!

This is to acknowledge the receipt of your email inquiry regarding your participation to the “Into the Nights” promotion. Please accept our immense apologies for the delay in response and inconvenience this may have caused you.
Please be advised that it will take 7 to 10 days after a stay before it will reflect on your “Into the Nights” dashboard. Unfortunately, it is still an ongoing issue that stays do not reflect on the dashboard. We are well aware of this and although there is no exact time frame as to when this will be fixed, rest assured that the assigned team is working round the clock to rectify the issue. For the “Spend on your IHG Rewards Club Credit Card” offer, please be informed that posting time of points is 6-8 weeks upon completion of the offer. Please wait until 23 December 2014 to receive the points.

Moreover, you should have already completed the “Stay More” offer if stays reflected on the dashboard in a timely manner. With this, we are willing to manually add the 11,600 points on your account.

Since this will also be the 4th offer that you have achieved for Into the Nights, you are already entitled for the completion bonus.

If you need the bonus points or the free night immediately, rather than ask you to wait longer,  we will be happy to issue this to your account in advance. We will manually issue you your reward and will let you choose the option of  18,500 points or 2 free nights.All the adjustments that we will make will come with the agreement that should your bonus points or free night are credited on your account automatically once the system is fixed, we will manually forfeit it.

Let us know if you agree to the terms presented so we may process the adjustment right away.

At the same time I received an email that all my offers had been completed, with the link to claim my certs. Oddly the email does not match up with my tasks, and even is contradictory about the tasks in the email, but I’ll take the certs. Except the link just goes to the broken Into the Nights websites, so as indicated in the response from IHG, I have today written to manually request the 2 free night.

  1. Reward Yourself
    Redeem points for a Reward Night to get 1,000 bonus points or 250 miles, or brand name merchandise to get 500 bonus points or 250 miles
  2. Last Chance (5,000 points)
    Stay the last week of the promotion (12/24/2014 – 12/31/2014)

By the 24th I had received all the missing bonus points, and now with my response to IHG, hopeful they quickly issue the certs.

For those who had lost hope, IHG is actually responding on Into the Nights.

    @DaninMCI – I have seen many reports on the problems but few on any success or the additional bonus offers. It was useful to me, so I thought useful to others. When everyone is pounding the Chase Freedom I hardly see this in the same equine league.

    Whoa, thanks for sharing this information it’s definitely helpful. I too just completed all the tasks and was not as lucky to get any amicable response. Instead, I was told that I needed to wait until the promotion period ended for me to see ALL the points properly credited into the account. So, this is encouraging that being proactive will bear fruit in the end!

    You must have gotten an excellent rep. I called inquiring about the same thing, and was told that I would have to wait the 6 – 8 weeks for the nights. It’s been over a month since I completed the first offer, and two weeks since I completed all three, and still nothing has gone through. I was hoping to use the nights for a NY vacation on the 12th, so it is pretty disappointing.
