My US Bank FlexPerks Travel Rewards cards, both personal and business, received emails to register for 2 promotions:
1. Earn 1,000 points for registering an account with Visa Checkout between August 28 and November 30, 2014. No requirement to shop with the account. I registered under separate emails for both my personal and business cards and hope to get the bonus twice.
2. Earn 2,500 bonus points for $2,000 spend between November 1 and December 31, 2014. Registration required. Does not specify if purchases prior to registration will count. If you overlooked the email, “Register today at flexperkspromos.usbank.com or by calling 866-951-8219, enter your FlexPoints number and promo code 37852.”
For the personal card, this can stack with 3x on charitable giving for a nice bonus to end-of-year do-gooding.
Both cards also have other category bonuses:
Personal:
- 3x on charity
- 2x on whichever of gas, grocery or airline you spent the most during the billing cycle
- 2x on cell phone service
Business:
- 2x on whichever of gas, office supply or airline you spent the most during the billing cycle

Meh – my offer was only for 3,000 FlexPerks if I spend $9,500 between November 1 and December 31. If I go grocery shopping (at 2x) that is only worth $440 in flight value.
I don’t think I’ll do 2k spend on this card but the 1,000 for visa checkout is nice. Thanks. Good post !
